Painting Fun

Jeff bought some furniture that he had to assemble and at the end, there were 2 large boxes left over. I let the kids put on aprons and take them outside to paint them for fun. At the end, I took out the slip 'n slide and let the kids play on it to clean off.

Dirty paints! The 2 little ones like to double-dip their brushes!

Anna was BY FAR the messiest! I'm glad they were non-toxic paints because she kept licking the paintbrush!

"Anna, you paint YOUR box and leave mine alone!"

Teddy and Anna's box turned out pretty much an all-purple grayish color from everything mixing together. They had about 2 hours of fun doing it though.

Margaret painted hers to look like a HUGE sub sandwich (complete with lettuce, tomatoes, etc on the sides) and then wanted us to take this picture of a "Meg sandwich" :-)

What a fun day! Meg is very creative...I love her Meg sandwich! So I can't believe you are here the ENTIRE time we are home!!! I thought you were only here for a week...that really stinks! We were going to take our vacation in November, but then they switched Jeremy's schedule and will be sending him to another training school then, so this is about the only time it would work to come home. It stinks also because I think we will be there the week school starts, so my mom, and Megan will be back to work already. Well, we will miss seeing you, and I sure hope your vacation will be wonderful!!!! Talk to ya soon!
